At ANZ stadium at Sydney Olympic Park last Sunday during KFC 20/20 big bash match game of cricket. NSW Blues vs South Australia.
It's where the opening and closing ceremony of the Sydney 2000 Olympic was held, the athletics was also held in this arena, The event that I watched in this arena during the olympics was when australian race walker Jane Saville was disqualified, she was nearing to enter back (to win GOLD) to this stadium when she was stopped outside and told that she was out of the race. Later in that very same day in the evening, australian Cathy Freeman won Gold in 400m race, historic moment for australia.
And this is what becomes of the famous giant stadium of the Sydney 2000 Olympics, it has become a sporting arena. It hosted the 2003 rugby world cup final, as well as the annual australian national rugby league final, it's also the club based of the Bulldogs Canterbury Bankstown rugby league team club.
